1994 Donruss: 1984D Anniversary cards.

I know little about this 10 card insert issue or subset but want to add it as a companion set to my 84D registry set. It's quite evident from the few raw I have that these glossy cards show corner touches and scratches extremely well.

How were these cards distributed in 1994 - packs, boxes, cases???? What were they called? Seaching 1994 Donruss on ebay has yielded little information.

Any 1994D experts out there?

Bill

    Bill,

I've never seen this subset. Could you put up a scan of a card or two??

    Thanks,

I don't have Gwynn (#10 of 10) shown, but here's the rest. They look identical to the 84D versions with the exception of the card stock, gloss, gold foil-type banner and card backs, which are similar...........

They were inserts in hobby foil packs.

The official name of the set was "1994 Donruss Anniversary '84"

Seaching ebay you can find 'Series 1' and 'Series 2'. Are these the boxes? If so, were these cards inserted into both series 1 and 2?

    Here's a link
to one of the hobby box auctions - Series 1. I'll assume the 'Donruss Special Edition' card is the anniversary card..........correct?

The Donruss "Special Edition" set was a 100-card set. It was a Gold parallel of cards 1-50 in series 1 and cards 331-380 of series 2.

Ok, but what in the world am I looking for then???? It's a hobby box but apparently the wrong one/type.

Can someone show a scan or auction or something as to what these anniversary cards were packaged in?

    very nice cards!!!

They look especially good when perfectly centered, though.

    bug,

Is this your BIN for the same pictured set you have here?? Or am I the victim of someone stealing your scan??

    Thanks,

Looking for Jonny Gomes cards, especially Triple Threads and printing plates. Will consider all cards, though. Got something? Contact me at c_u_l_1@yahoo.com

Thanks for your opinion, LWMM. I was having a hard time determining where the edges of that BIN Ryan were. I hope you're right!
