I'm off to Vegas next week to photograph a persons collection. I've never been to Vegas. I need a list of things to do my one free day I'm out there.
Thanks in advance.

First thing to do is pick up a copy of "What's On" magazine, or "Today in Las Vegas" magazine. They are free & available in every car rental agency & hotel lobby. There are a million things to do in there.
PCGS, ANACS, & NGC Certified Coins on My Website.
Go to the Palms, and up top is a place called the Ghost Bar, it's pretty cool. Out on the patio there is this thick square of plixiglass in the floor that you can stand on and look alllllllll the way down the building to the ground hundreds of feet below. The patio like sticks out from the building. I walked across it really quickly like :-).
There are several free shows that the casinos do outside that are neat to check out. Like the fountains at the Bellagio and the ship fighting and dance show - I forget which hotel is that. Don't forget to tease the hookers.
Night: Visit the downtown area to see the light show. See the Pirate show at Treasure Island. See the water fountain show at the Bellagio.
Red Rock Canyon if you'll have wheels - it's about a 30-45 minute drive west of the
city. Or, Hoover Dam - an awesome (and cheap) way to spend some free time.

I don't know if you like roller coasters, but we have a few that are pretty good. There's one at the Sahara hotel called "Speed" that is good. The NY NY has the Manhattan Express that is also good. There's a few CRAZY rides at the top of the statosphere that will scared the life out of you especially since you're like 1,000 feet obove the ground. State line also has the "Desperado" which is considered a Top 10 roller coaster.
If you have family with you or anyone for that matter check out the Adventure Dome @ Circus Circus. They have alot to do & they have the worlds largest & only indoor double loop double corkscrew roller coaster.
If you golf we have some of the best courses you can play on.
There is ALOT of stuff to do here & if your an outdoor person there's plenty places you can go outside of what you see on TV. If your into Arena Football you can catch the LV Gladiators & Arizona Rattlers if you come in today.
You won't have any problem finding anything to do & I DO mean ANYTHING.....
Downtown lights (overhead show) at night
Volcano at Mirage
Lots of good shows all over. I heard Blue man group is good.

We're developing a Master Planned Community in Nevada so I've had my fair share of runs out there thus far this year. For the record, I've never partaken in any sexual deviancy at a Brothel, but I have gone along when friends/colleagues/others* wanted to make trips out there to partake in their services and sat around in the strip club/bar part while they were doing the dirty. I think prostitution is great, it's just not my thing and don't think I'd ever consider utilizing a prostitute's services, I've never had any trouble getting laid with the traditional form of paying for it (Dinner, Drinks, etc) and enjoy that method much more.

I've always gone to the Bunny Ranch, which is in Carson City. They'll send a free limo to pick you up in Vegas and take you there and then take you back (You should tip the Limo driver well). I do know that there are quite a few other Brothels in closer proximity to Vegas that will also send limos for you, but don't know the names of them off the top of my head. A quick walk down the strip or inquiry to your hotel concierge and I'm sure you'll be able to find them rather quickly.

*Shrug* They were always all-day trips, never really paid attention. By the way, I believe Dennis, the current owner/operator of the Bunny Ranch, is also a fellow numismatist.

I think that's the motto of some of them brothels lol
Try working the street walkers...you never know what kind of fun and excitement they might spring on you.
After 4 or 5, you should have some pretty good stories.

Indeed. I'd recommend visits to the Brothels in Vegas even if you aren't planning on having sex with one of their girls. The bars are great fun. It's always better if you're bringing someone who is going to utilize the service of one of their girls, as they treat you very well in the Bar area then and often comp your drinks while you're waiting.

I'd never recommend street walkers anywhere to anyone (except in the Red Light District of Prague, have a ball there, they're all licensed and clean - even the Street Walkers). One of my former Sales Reps was quite the prostitute junky and on a drunken night while at a convention started telling everyone about his various encounters with Street Walkers and such, including divulging the fact that he contracted Herpes from one in Vegas back in a late 90s. Of course, as with all things, the line "Buyer Beware" certainly applies here.

See? There's such excitement on the streets of Las Vegas.

Oh, I've heard literally hundreds of great prostitution stories in my years, I really enjoy them. Fortunately, I have none to tell of my own and plan on keeping it that way.
