An effin' incredible Seated Liberty Quarter!

PCGS PR 64 Cameo

Totally original, champagne toning. The grade limited by a staple scratch at 11:00 but o/w is virtually flawless with no hairlines at all!

I didn't know that the temp storage file had to remain permanent so I had deleted the files to load more. Silly me! Sorry Cladiator but we're all cool now!

I don't know what you're talking about. image What?! Were you seeing things? There could be a few explanations accounting for that but this isn't the place to get into it.

What do you think it would have graded without the staple scratch?

I believe that it would easily be a 67 Cameo. But, lucky for me, it's not. I gave $920 for this coin from Pinnacle Rarities two years ago. Now, it is closer to a $1400 coin. In 67, geez, I wouldn't nor couldn't even go there.

Well, that's ok. I'm just making out a list and will meet them with a baseball bat in Baltimore. imageimage But, hey, they all love me or my dog or both.

Thanks. I just got a Canon Powershot 1 but there is definitely a learning curve. The guys on the NGC boards had great tips and now, most of the photos are turning out good. Sometimes the slabs are a little tough, though.

I am having a tough time taking pics through ANACS slabs. They get a lot of reflection. The 1/2 cent I posted on your other thread is through an ANACS thread. It ends up not as crisp when I finally get rid of the reflections.

Wow! I'm impressed. That's a long memory. I usually don't buy coins with "buts" but this one is well worth it to me and the scratch is barely perceptable as a whole. Can you share a story about it?

I've had better luck imaging coins raw than in slabs. Two different ball games. Some have turned out sweet some only so-so. It is all about lighting placement. Just have to play around with it. I keep one OTT light in a somewhat axial plane to the coin and I hand hold the other light, manipulating and maneuvering it to try to get the right lighting.
