This dealer just doesn't get it !

DUIGUYDUIGUY Posts: 7,252 ✭✭✭
Two years ago I picked up 9 non cc GSA's from a dealer . Yesterday he calls and tells me the client that sold them to him would like to buy them back . I offered the dealer a price of $20 over purchase price X9. He called today and said that was to much and counter offered me a price of $80 under X9 what I paid him two years ago . Lets see , what should I do ?image

Make the dealer another offer, tell him you have a buyer and the price just went up another $20 over purchase X9 since he last contacted you. image

Give him Laura's phone number and tell him to negotiate his wannabe status as a market maker with her image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

If he had to call a customer and offer $80 less than you paid two years later to get coins then he is not a real dealer. Tell him to take it or leave it at your price. If he did not really need them then why call?

when he calls you back (which I would guess and hope that he does) to pay you your price..............tell him that your quote was an error and that you meant 40 or 50.00 over on each.

I wouldn't sell them to him now unless he paid DEARLY for them.
  • Sounds like a great deal to me. Let's face it.... when you drove those coins off the lot they automatically depreciate 10%. Add in milage and that you didn't buy one loaded with all the options(CC version), then you gotta take what you can get.

Dont waste your time with this dealer, I would explain that the market is very hot and it might be better to take a chance and sell with ebay or keep them why sell to a resaler for less then you paid.

Tell him that you posted the issue on this forum and you sold them for $100.00 over purchase price, EACH!

    Jim
  • Sheesh, a fair market price by today's standard is reasonable.... Make your best offer and move on... cm
