2005-D Kennedy MS67 for over $650?

Did any one else follow this auction on eBay? 8388985620

I have two NGC MS68 2005-D (non-SMS) Kennedy's, should I send them in for cross over (even if they loss on point)?

Come to think about it, my son gets 5 free grades for for having his set over ninty percent complete, I think that I should have him send one in for a minumin MS 67 grade and see what happens.

  • Watched that Auction, It was a board member here. Just shows how hard these coins are to get. With real coins ( non SF type ) only in rolls and bags this will be a hard year and the years to follow will also be hard. I have two rolls each mint and none will even go 66.

It may have come from a bag, as stated, but it looks satin to me.

And what about this remark "and pushing the MS68 level"

Don't you hate it when people say stuff like that, IT'S NOT A MS68 !!!, if it was it would have been graded as such. To say that makes absolutely no sense at all.

You might as well say, if it was struck better and didn't have the small imperfections it would be a MS70.

Duh, it's just wierd what people write on ebay.
