I have a rule of thumb and it seems to work pretty good with ebay things. I steer clear :
If it promises fortune or "potential" fortune, it's a white elephant sale ... If a seller on ebay resorts to posting all the good things said about him, rest assured he is dumping junk with a hidden gem every once in a while ... just to make him look good ... If you can read every word in the ad and it takes more than three breaths or two paragraphs, wear waders or bring a shovel and an oxygen tank (you'll need those items when digging your way out).
and finally, If there is not a legitimate picture of THE item you are purchasing, you have ZERO recourse except to fire back with a negative feedback (usually there is no return).... however, if you think one negative for every five hundred feedbacks hurts a guy..... I have a shovel and pair of waders I'll list on ebay... I'll guarantee you I dug for gold with 'em

I actually wasnt concerned with what was won or said by either. I just found it entertainingly funny that these others receiving replies intended for someone else might get confused. At first I thought they had simply replied to the wrong person, then noticed the string and realized I was confused. I wasn't reading into the drama, simply laughing at the simple things.
