Silver $10.10 oz (PCGS homepage).
You know...the AG spacers, the common date common mintmark extras, the not at all rare Mercs, Rosies, Washingtons, Franklins and Kennedys?
Still got them?
Gonna keep them?
Why? Why not?
I've got a little over $50 face in loose silver. Thinking about getting rid of it but haven't decided.

i was thinking the same thing yesterday right after silver broke $10/oz. i am going to wait until tomorrow when i hit the local coin show and see what the dealers are charging for rolls of bulk commom silver. if it looks like they are getting stupid money for them then i will start putting my rolls on ebay a little at a time and stretch out the auctions over a period of 10 days per listing. this way i can cost average up as silver keeps going higher. i bought alot of my bulk under $5/oz so i am a happy camper.

Each has to make their own decisions.... no guarantees!! (but I'm keeping mine for awhile longer yet).
At least I have some gold..
Do you really want your future based in dollars the way this gov has been passing them in truckloads around the world.
Ill keep my silver, thank you.

Buy, sell and trade all coins, US paper money, jewelry, diamonds and anything made of gold, silver or platinum.
But fortunately, I am not in a position where I feel that I have to sell, for financial reasons. If I needed the money, probably would not hesitate to take the profit, and just hope to be able to get back in later.
<< <i>I already sold my junk silver...back in 1980 at 48.00 an ounce. (Well, actually I traded it for a house) >>
HAHA cool
I thought of selling silver but it keeps going up.

Asks me, "So son, what should I do?"
I said "Do you need the dollars? Got any debt?" He says no.
"Want to buy anything?" Nope.
"So dad, what do YOU think you should do?"
"Guess I'll just let it ride, son."
I'm letting it ride, too - junk and all.

What you have is a rising bottoms and rising tops line,in other words higher highs and higher lows, very bullish sign, but yet very tenous.
Any large change in demand or production will lead to wild price swings.
Lots of mines out there that are not profitable @ 9.00 per once, might be @ say 11.00
Production goes up,demand falters a bit, next thing ya know its 7 bucks !
My lonely lil post
snif.
skimming over that while my eyes glazed over !
The ETF looks like BS to me !
<< <i>A lot of the silver pressure is in anticipation of the ETF (which I posted to a completely disinterested audience I guess) >>
Those who are paying attention have known about the ETF for awhile now, those who don't aren't interested anyway.
Actually gold and silver posts are not all that compatible with the coin forum. Precious metals are for investors, numismatics is for collectors.
as I have heard it put
"buy precious metals for investment, buy numismatics for fun."
Pre-zinc pennies are now worth $0.015
<< <i>A better question is...are you selling your junk copper?

I actually went through my copper and rolled up the copper cents. Good thing most of the rolls of cents that I have were pre 1982 or else it would've been a pain sorting them all out for only a few copper cents per roll.
I plan to hold onto my silver and actaully plan to buy more real soon. I haven't even had a chance to go through my "junk" silver to fill up coin books etc yet.
