"But, I see someone has made 55,000 overnight. Wonder what coins are in the portfolio."
That would be me. I bought heavily in 1885-CC Morgans when I noticed the Price Guide had errors... like MS60 and 62 DMPLS being priced lower than PLs and regular coins in the same grade, and MS63 regular coins being priced the same as AUs.
It's impossible for a magazine guy to turn off his proofreading switch.

So your gain wasn't due to a market gain but an error correction in the guide. Nice catch none the less..

Like the Sphinx said, at this point, you would have to know something that a ton of knowledgeable people don't know. There are not a lot of first and second tier "sleepers" left. When I looked last night, even some of my super sleepers were scooped up and gone.
<< <i>Ok, I have signed up for the silver. I then went to the link for the series......I am lost now.... >>
You click the price guide, find a coin you're interested in, click on whatever grade and it adds it to your watch list. From there you'll see if any are available, and then you can click buy, or add more to your watchlist or whatever.
I am not seeing any watch listing. I clicked on the price guide after logging in, selected Morgans and then randomly chose a pcgs number from the left column and all I get is the descriptive of the coin series. Am I missing a step? I also have tried to go to the series but all it does is describes the contest.
This is a very dumb ass thread. - Laura Sperber - Tuesday January 09, 2007 11:16 AM

It would be nice to see the leaderboard even if you are not playing.
Me, I am not playing, but I would be interested in checking the leaderboard every so often. But I guess you can't if you don't shell out the money to join the collector's club.

I agree- Hey Ron: For those of us that just want to 'watch' this action- why not let us see the contest as it unfolds?

You'd have to be a collectors club member and then go to the pcgs.com site and it's on the left.
Good luck getting anything worth while though.
