Post Your Most Favorite/Neatest Buy From Long Beach?

OK - Pat started a thread on the US Coin Forum, so I'll start one here.

I'll post my most favorite purchase from Long Beach. A 1983(p) Double Denom ("Six Cent Piece"). What is so cool about this coin is President Lincoln's Face is Hiding In President Jefferson's hair. Not a terribly expensive coin at around $1,000 but, totally cool!

1983(p) Double Denomination (President Lincoln's Face Hiding Out in President Jefferson's Hair)

Reverse is cool as well with portions of the Lincoln Memorial over Monticello

    Thanks guys.

Bear - I just tacked on 10% and surprised a great customer with the coin (and I won the coin for a tiny fraction of my max bid). As you know too well, in the auction biz, sometimes you pay insane money to buy the cool coins and every now and then you "steal" them dirt cheap. Speaking of cool coins- show us your favorite Long Beach purchase?

Mitch, this one's no where near as cool as your error, but kind of neat nonetheless.

I've been trying to find a 1972/72 with strong doubling and personality for while now. Most are somewhat average. I spotted this one recently and had to own it.
Bright pumpkin orange with beautiful pastel lime green coloration. Lots of luster too!

Pat: Great coin! 1972 DDO is near and dear to my heart. I lived in Philly in 1972. Peddling up and down the streets on my bicycle, I hit as many banks as I could for fresh 1972 cent rolls for around a solid month on end (returning the searched rolls to one bank to recycle the money to buy rolls from another bank later that day). I was never able to find a single example of the "big" DDO despite a diligent search.

Actually, I was only selling at Long Beach.

However, I seem to be buying Pats "A" BOX coins

just about as fast as he can post them for auction.

It would be a lot simpler If Pat would just sell me what

he has left in his "A" Box.image

That box is getting smaller, no doubt thanks to Bear's watchful eye.
