Deleting a coin from the registry

Hi

I upgraded some Kennedy Half Dollars in my registry. How do I delete the old PR69 coins? Did they automatically get deleted/unregistered when I upgraded to a PR70 coin?

I am unable to find a place to unregister a coin.

Thanks for any help

  • When you get into your set, scroll down to where the coins are listed, on the far right side of the page (in blue) should be a link marked Edit/Delete. Click on the Delete for the coin you want to upgrade, follow the prompts and then enter your new coin.

I already upgraded. I never took the old ones out though. Now I am selling the old Registry coins. So the new PR70 coins are already in the registry. I don't see the old coins. Does that mean PCGS removed the coin already?

    Hope that makes sense?

    Thanks

  • If the new one went in, then the old one should be out. I think you are OK.

  • If you enter a new coin that is a "replacement" and then hit the verify button the old coin will be deleted automatically.

Sounds like you did it right.

Ok good. I just didn't want the new buyers of these coins to have to mess with all of this.

    Thanks!

As far as your set goes, you successfully upgraded however you will still show as the owner of the former pieces. When you sell, IF you sell the coins you replaced, PCGS' Cosetta Robbins will be contacting you.

I thought that upgrading a coin deleted the old coin. If not, how do you get to it to delete it if it doesn't show anymore????

Boom, I hate to disagreee with you, but... Cosetta told me that when you add a coin that supercedes a coin already in your set, the new coin is added and the old coin is automatically deleted from the set.
