  • Yup - I really like those auctions with no picture. I also like the ones that have no description whatsoever - just 10,000 words for their terms and conditions and shipping.

Glad to see nobody bid on it.

The descriptions that really tick me off are the ones that use 99% of the description to promote themselves or something else that they are selling and 1% of the description for the item you are bidding on.

Since we are on the "what bothers me thing", I really dont like when the seller says everything about what the player has done and will do and will be in the H.O.F and get it now before they win another ....... image Just shut up, put up a great scan and the card will sell itself!

  • Mark,

Hmmmmm, this is an auction of paradoxes. A one-day auction with no picture from a 99.9% seller........

Maybe it's legit but he's just really stupid???

It may bother you, but do you think it actually depresses prices? I would have to disagree with that claim. I don't go overboard with it, but it's SELLING, you gotta pump it up a little bit image

  • No scan no bid! I can not even think of a card post 1985 than I would pay $700 for scan or not! But.......There are a lot of cards I would love to pay $699 for! A PSA 8 1954 Kaline or a 1984 OPC PSA 10 Yzerman to name two. I love Big Ben and followed him while at THE Miami U. But.......$699 for any Big Ben is too many Ben Franklin's by $ix!!
My focus, 1970 Topps Baseball Raw and Graded, pre 1989 PSA Hockey and 1933 INDIAN GUM ! Yikes!!
