*growl* Need photography help...

This is driving me nuts. Coppers I have down pat. No problems there. However, circulated silver/nickel with any amount of lustre is driving me NUTS. The pictures all come out looking like the coins are beat to hell and back. All the flaws are accentuated... the pictures look far worse than the coins in hand. The most minor of surface tics, bagmarks, or scuffs come off as huge gouges. I look at the pictures and say "Well, sh*t! I wouldn't buy this at any price..."

What should I be doing differently?

Thanks!
