NYINC Darksiders lunch?

I'll be at the NYINC show all day Saturday the 14th.

How about a Darksiders lunch?

Suggestions as to where are welcomed.

Was only planning to be there on Friday, but a get-together may be motivation to cancel my doctor's appointment!

Last time I was in the City, last Spring, I took a Waldorf guest to one of those rinkside cafes at the Rockefeller Center.

Sounds good, but ideally I will be tied to the table selling coins and making money hand over fist. But, I am open to the possibility should that not be the case.

As for locations, there is a cafe/deli called the Longwood (no jokes) Cafe about a block and a half from the Waldorf that has pretty decent sandwiches and hot/cold buffet food. A bit further away is an Ess-a-bagel on Madison Ave. (I believe) that makes an excellent lox and onion with cream cheese on an everything bagel.

21walker - wrong Sunday. Giants play the Panthers this Sunday the 8th. The 15th will have them in Seattle (if TBay beats the Skins, else they'll be in Chicago on the 14th.

But then again its a long drive from Houston.

Josh - hope you'll be able to join us. Can't Ben cover for an hour or so?

I was hoping to be there, but my customer in Manhattan decided to have me there the week end after the show.

Maybe next time.

This makes two shows in NY that I have not been able to arrange my schedule so that it coincides with the show.

Quite frankly, I would rather bring in a subway sandwich and eat on the premises. Time spent having a nice lunch means less time on the floor with other collectors!

No, but there's some seating by the lot viewing rooms, and plenty in the lobby of the hotel.

Andy: I can just see it now. Eating a subway sandwich in the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria!!

When I was a kid, my grandmother took my sister and me for afternoon tea at the Waldorf Astoria. That image still haunts me.
