The winner is P8NT, with a guess of $519.97. The actual closing bid, quoted by Kitco, was $520.00. Thanks to everyone who entered.
EDIT: The entry deadline has passed, I will announce the winner, late Tuesday. Thanks.
Thanks everyone, for helping me get to this lofty number.
The rules are easy. Guess the closing New York bid price of Gold, on Tuesday, December 13. Today, the yellow stuff, closed at $514.10. Closest to the number, wins. I will use a national dealer site, for the final price.
You may enter once per day, with the entry deadline being Monday morning Dec, 12, at 1:00 a.m. PST.
In the event of a tie, the winner's name will be pulled from a hat.
Good luck.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
