Would You Downgrade to Add a Prettier Coin to Your Set?

Ok, I don't play on this forum much and this question may be heresy for some who do, but if you found a prettier coin but a lower grade, would you sell your higher grade or elect not to purchase a higher grade coin and go with the more eye appealing piece?

For example, I have an 1895-O Barber quarter PCGS MS67. It is pop 2/0, and there are none in MS66. But the coin is basically white. Sort of ivory, probably original, very attractive and amazing, but it does not have the pretty colors that I am looking for. So recently I have looked at two MS65's with color ... I would buy a nice 65 with color just "to have" ... so that I could eventually have a complete set of colorfully toned quarters. Meanwhile, the Registry set has several white 67's ...
My toned MS Morgan dollar set ("Somewhere Over the Rainbow" at number 50 in the Circulation Strikes, Basic Set) is a more extreme case ... I have MANY coins that are graded one point lower that are even more stunningly toned.

Last year I sold a 1967 SMS quarter in 67dcam and kept a 66dcam because the frost and mirrors were far superior to the 67dcam. Some have told me I was crazy, but that 66dcam smoked the 67dcam.
But I never really "downgraded", I had both in my collection when I decided to register my set. I just sold the inferior coin, even though the grade on the holder was higher.
I don't get all wrapped up in what the holder says, I keep the "pretty" coins all the time.
