... believe that Terrell Owens was sincere about winning, about being sorry about what he's done before, well, about ANYTHING Or is it just not possible? Not passing judgement on anybody (heck, with TO, it's getting to the point where I think he gets what he deserves if not a lot more ), just curious...

This doesn't take anything.

I just look at what he has said over the last few years.

He pretty much provided all of what people think.

Mind you he's not a criminal, just acting like a misfit.

His punishment doesn't come in the form of public disdain but rather in the form of tremendous salary loss; especially in the future.

Someone will hire him next year but not at the 7 mill he gets now and on a very short leash.

His pimp of an agent will not be negotiating any sweetheart deals for this guy. He'll being signing a contract with enough "by the way" clauses to where he won't be able to say anything in public.

This is just my take - personally? I don't mind the guy - he's a great athlete with the skills to back up his big mouth. He just needs to keep the mouth in the area of self promotion rather than derisive statements towards his team.

Believe it or not I think Owens is sincere about winning. The big problem is that he is like an immature little punk brat that wants to do it only his way while bringing all kinds of negative attention to himself. His attitude towards winning would be fine in an individual game such as tennis, where there have been many punk brat winners, but not in a team sport. Even in baseball where there is individual effort such as hitting, his attitude probably would not work. He would probably be a cry baby every time he got a bunt sign. But his attitude just can't work whatsoever in football, in which teamwork is essential for winning.

I do believe that even if the Eagles would have given him a new contract, he STILL would have been a disruptive player on the Eagles this season, although possibly not to the same degree, but then again perhaps possibly to a greater degree knowing he could be a total punk brat and would still get his money.

I DO believe that he wants to win, and I believe that a lot of this is stemming from his frustrations. I do not believe that he is sorry, and it would probably take him making a vow of silence the rest of his life and coming to play for Detroit for me to belive it.

Even when the qb('s) do get them the ball, they have had way too many dropped passes for the quality receivers that they actually could be. Hell, I think if they caught half the balls that they could have, we'd be in first place.

I agree with Mike and others. TO is not a criminal and he is wanting to win. He just has to stop running his mouth off about his teammates. That won't fly anywhere in any type of enviornment. I don't buy his apology but he will sign on somewhere and be a contributor.

joestalin, I have read people calling you out but actually have never read anything from you that would make me do so. I agree that Garcia is a pansy but McNabb is a stud. He's taken the eagles to the playoffs 4 times and even without winning the big game, that is impressive. I think that statement by you was ignorant.
