NINE friggin' weeks???? Geez, my submission from 9/14 won't be done until Christmas?

Nice grades. PCGS and other TPG have a difficult time when it comes to the SP/PL dollars.

  • Hi Don

I have had problems with both PCGS and NGC regarding the correct definition of the Canadian dollars.

I must have worn out the submission status site with continual checking on this order.

I have a couple more similar submissions in and at this rate it will be a month of so before I see those grades!

Canadian submissions are usually faster on turnaround than other darkside matieral. I had one darkside submission take four months ...

It's not only PCGS and NGC, and not only Canadian coins. I had ICG slabbed some of my South African coins as PL. The problem is they were 2.5 shilling and 2 shilling coins. Only the 5 shilling was made in PL.

I've been getting Canadian grades on average in about six weeks ... the last British was closer to two and a half months.

'course it will be interesting to see how long it takes on the latest British to go into PCGS. I dropped off a lot 7 50p on Oct 20th at a coin show where they were taking sumbissions ... all were mechanical errors and of course they could not take care of the "problems" at the show because they were foreign coins. Guess that's what I get for submitting a bunch of 50p commems and assuming that PCGS would correctly attribute them as commems.

Oh well ... I will be getting out a 36 coin Canadian submission tomorrow ... should be interesting to see the turnaround on this bunch considering the variety of coins ... MS, PL, and SP Loons and MS and PL Twonies ... hoping to fill some holes in my sets and some additional upgrades.
