Ok, we lost...let me have it...

We didn't play up to our potential. Drew had 3 picks and we still had the ball with a chance to win at the end. Even playing the worse possible game this season! This hurts but doesn't end our season. The ACC title is still in range...and still goes through tallahassee! Miami has one loss...but you don't see people jumping their case?
A whole lot of season left!

I'll give you that: That it doesn't seem right for Miami to be ahead of FSU in the polls. But I'd say that it does end your season as far as the National Championship picture. I'm thinking there'll be at least two undefeated teams after the conference championships, plus Florida State is not at the top of the one-loss list.

And man, o man, your boy Fred Rouse has some growing up to do!

Sorry Skippy let me remind you that ND beat FSU in 93 and ended up losing the National Championship to them even though both had only one loss. Are you saying that ND really was #1 that year, with your logic it must be.

I don't find your 'humility' to be all that genuine...each week, all year, you've been here immediately after an FSU win, with BWAHAHA and all other crap titles of threads announcing how GREAT FSU is and how every other program is playing cupcakes, are chokers, and are pretenders.

So it's a coincidence FSU loses to an UNRANKED team and you disappear from sight for how long, then come here expecting people to go easy on you? FSU is the team scheduling cupcakes (the Citadel ring a bell?) and unranked opponents, and you lose to one of them? Who's the real pretender here?

  • Classy post, Skippy.

It's only one loss, and despite what others may think, FSU still has an outside shot at the Rose Bowl, but it's a longshot. Don't forget if you make it to the ACC CG you will probably play VaTech, which has a real shot at going undefeated. You'll get a big boost if you beat them, maybe even the kind of boost that propels you to Pasadena.

Unfortunately, whoever plays USC will lose to USC. They are just better than everybody else.

  • After that crappy Miami game, FSU fans should have been cautiously optimistic, not touting the team as a national champion. The slopply play finally caught up with them!!

    Lou...

    what's with the COIN icon???

    you lose a bet?
  • donno how my icon got changed? But as I said we got beat. We shouldn't have but it happened. Penaltys can kill a team. And they did! True the NC is almost impossible. But then again, who's to say if USC or texas lose (Georgia is bound for a loss) that we can't get in? Especially if we have wins over a possible # 1 in the country (Va Tech maybe?) With a young team full of freshman you can't expect to do a whole lot. USC is VERY due to lose. These guys just continue to get lucky, and I don't think that will go on. UCLA and even cal, Yes cal has a shot! This team has to grow up a little tho. We are what seems to be almost a year or so away. And as for rouse....I didn't see the end of the game so I am not sure about him? I know he's young and very talented but sometimes doesn't make the best decisions. Anyone want to tell me what happened with him?

When are you going to admit that USC is among the best college teams ever? There's a reason they continue to win, and it's surely not 'luck'.

Instead of hating on USC, and calling them 'pretenders' or 'lucky', why not enjoy watching what could be among the finest college teams to ever play the game?
  • I'll give them credit when they go into other teams home fields and win. And I'm not talking a Notre Dame team that is not as good as they seem. Notre Dame has a terrible Defense that has given up so many points in the past few weeks. They played better then they could have imagined vs USC and almost got it done. USC completes a pass on 4th down and then luckily the ball goes out of bounds on matt's run. Not only that but on the final play his forward progress was stopped. But then reggie pushed him in which is another flag. They are good, but they are not as good as everyone makes them out to be.

And as for the UCLA fan....Good Luck vs USC, that's all I'm going to say.

Skippy have to agree with you on this one. ND has a lot of weakness on defense and has had for several years, especially in the secondary. Charlie has recruited seveal top 150 high schoolers, 6 to be exact to play in the defensive secondary. ND has gotten by because they have 4 or 5 guys that will play on offense for somebody on Sundays. Their best receiver hasn't played since the Michigan game (injury) and may redshirt. Sadly the defense will be weak next year too.

They've gotten by on top notch preparation and coaching up to this point. This is not to say that they can't win out, but regardless they probably won't be Major Bowl eligible.

You're a jealous, trite, moronic 'fan' who can't recognize greatness when it's right in front of you.

A ND not as good as they seem? Hmm, they are ranked #9 in the country, lose, and still stay #9...but they aren't very good, right?

You know NOTHING about sports (and even less about college football), and are so trivial that you can't see anything worth praising outside florida. Man it must suck to live in your world, where the only sports' teams that you think are worth mentioning are your own.

'They are not as good as everyone makes them out to be' 28 STRAIGHT WINS?! That's not as good as everyone makes them out to be? They took the #2 team in the country last year to the shredder and obliterated them? That's not good as everyone makes them out to be?

You, sir, need to lay off the aerosol cans and quit getting high before you post.
  • they took the # 2 country and shredded them? well that may be the case. But OU was VERY overrated and should not have even been there! Auburn anyone? 28 wins in a row? Ok? If FSU played in the wack 10 they would be 50-0....Put it on the line or don't come at all!
    There titles are absolute frauds!

Nice to see you're back to your delusional self, Skippy.

  • UCLA took USC to the wire last year, i expect it to be similar, this time olson and drew are more experienced and USC defense gives up tons of points.

    Good god.

Is there any team NOT named Seminoles that aren't frauds or overrated in your tiny, deluded mind? Is there any title not won by FSU that's not a fraud?

You *almost* appeared apologetic and humble in your post...I guess it's obvious to everyone that YOU ARE THE FRAUD.

Realize that I will never give USC credit until they defeat someone worth while! And Hawaii doesn't count! There are plenty of good teams who deserve to be ranked ahead of USC. But they arent because the media is on their jocks! Texas for instance...Va Tech....Hell even georgia could hang with them! They beat an overrated OU team and all of a sudden they are all this? hah and mattys an idiot...throwing the oranges out of the trophy, lmao.

Notre Dame is overrated too in your narrow little mind, too?

Any team in the PAC10 is overrated, yes?

Grow up and realize that there is incredible football being played on the west coast you buffoon.
  • haha! Then why do all the top stars from the west coast come south? Cause they know that west coast teams are pansies!

Really? So what tops stars from the west come south?

Leinart and Bush, the top 2 contenders for the Heismann, both chose a west coast team....would like to see all these 'top stars' you mention.
