Media Excuses for the Yanks?

I am watching baseball tonight, and Kruk is saying the yankees were 'tired' from the games and flight. Huh? Saying their 'hands were tired' and that's why they didn't hit home runs.

Didn't the Angels have to make the same flight, play the same games?

When will the media's love affair with the yankees end? It's pathetic.

    Wow - he really said that? Of course, the Angels were on the same flight schedule, and in addition, had to pull their best starter from the game in the second inning...the Yanks got to face a young pitcher who had no idea he would be pitching that game.

    No excuses can be made - the better team won.

    It wasn't fair because it was a night game for the Angels, but an early morning game for the Yankees.image

    So technically they didn't lose last night, they lost this morning.image

    As ctsoxfan states - you can't dispute that the better team won.

    Kruk's comments aside, most of what I saw today in the media summed it up pretty well......a few of the key highest paid mercenaries - Arod, Sheffield and Matsui - had no big impact games when it was most needed from them. Kudos to the Angels.
    Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

    IMO the Angles played much better defense in the series, and got timely pitching. And THAT is the formula for success! Yes, KUDOS to the Angles!

    Actually he said "that is why they were popping up" had the Angels lost he probably would have been saying the same thing about them. Kruk, being an ex major leaguer knows a tad more about the game then some of us around here.
