<<it took me two days to realize this forum is a CESSPOOL with the biggest clown of them all Axtell leading the way.
This guy "spammy" does the same thing the guys crying about his posts do. They spam the board with anti NY Yankee crap, not to the degree of Gemmy but definitely spam, but can't take it themselves. If any moderator comes down on Gemmy you can bet I will do be sure to e-mail the moderator EVERY time these clowns have more than one anti NY thread on page one. Hell, if anything, this forum makes me laugh every time I come to it. Laughing is healthy>>
If you want me off the boards or if you want me to stay then instant message Carol at carolj or email her at carolj@Collectors.com. If you want me to stay, I need your support and you should say so. If I go I will obviously take my expertise on the Yankee Master Collections with me and try to find another outlet for posting information about broken up sets.
If I am allowed to stay I will not alter my style about posting. There are as many baseball fans who enjoy my posts as well as don't. There is a simple solution if you don't like them just ignore them.
I get a real kick on seeing how some of you who criticise me, and are so high and mighty, making the same kind of Anti-Yankee Bashing spam posts. At least one of you have a Gemmy magnet attached to your brain. I think it goes off everytime I post and you MUST respond.

You post the same crap over and over, you post the same garbage over and over, you post every minute detail of the yankee trivia.
It's not as easy as simply ignoring them as you imply - not when you have 3/4 of the front page plastered with your crap.
Gemmy, I enjoy most of your posts, especially your Yankee Master set posts since I own one. Although you do get carried away sometimes, I have seen much worse. If your post doesn't interest me I just move on to the next one. With that said, I have never seen you crticize CU like others often do.
If CU ever kicked you off for expressing your beliefs, I would move on the another forum. Please PM me on what your plans are so I can keep in touch just in case.

They wouldn't kick him off for expressing his beliefs, it would be for spamming up the board over and over and over with the same inane crap.
and that would be a HUGE loss for us ....
i dont care to see either of them banned, but if i had to choose, axtell would be gone..
sd
Lay off on the number of threads and that would be a huge improvement.
I voted no.
However I believe that all Cowboys, Bucs, and FSU fans should be banned.

I'd double that banning for Eagle and Penn St. fans
<< <i>We need a third option: "No, but it would be nice if he didn't start new, inane threads every three minutes." >>
Well said. That is basically all you have to do. I think you have as much right to be here as any of us Gemmy, but constantly flooding the forum with topics of the same nature is poor "netiquette".
However, I agree and I think even Gemmy should agree that the incessant posts about basically the same subject are annoying - perhaps certain posters should only be allowed one or two new startup threads per day if they are abusive "spammers" - I don't know if that could be programmed into the CU forum software or not. Maybe all members should only be allowed say two startup threads per day? I would have to think that would have to improve the quality of the threads.
<< <i>but what does get old are the enormous amounts of new threads that you start seemingly just to piss Axtell off. >>
and axtel shouldnt respond to the enormous amounts of threads.. the fact that she gets pissed off about message board threads to the point she has to respond to each and every one and exhibit her total idiocy is enough reason for me to want her gone..
its like a never ending cycle.. gemmy makes a stupid post, axtell gets her panties in a wad and replies to show the world how stupid she is and how good she can talk trash over the interweb..
for the record, my mousepad can kick both of y'alls whole computers ass..

Actually if Ax would learn to ignore him, there likely would be much less spam. Kinda like kids teasing each other, the more you get upset about it, the more teasing you will get
1. Numerous threads about the same subjects. I am not referring to the subject of the Yankees, I am referring to narrowly defined (and related) topics. You do not need to create seven threads each with a photoshopped Yankees or Sox picture from nomaas.org. Why can't you create one thread and call it "Photoshopped Yankees pictures," or something witty? Or the numerous theads you started about the Red Sox getting swept. One will suffice. If you have something else to say about the subject, post it in the original thread! Don't create a new one. After every Yankees game, you come on and post about six or seven consecutive threads. How hard would it be to create an "Official Yankees game thread" and post all of your thoughts in one place? You do not need to create new threads each time you have a new thought about the same game. I'll get to why here in a sec.
2. You act like you don't attack people....BS! Sure, you aren't as forward with your insults like Axtell is, but you instigate arguments more than anyone on here. Posting condescending threads about your rival is fine, but expect people to get annoyed when you do it ALL THE TIME. Yeah, if I had to read constant smack talk about my team, I'd eventually get ticked and start firing back insults. And then, when people respond, you act all innocent. I forgot what I said last night, but I think it was something like this: You're like the child who keeps sticking his face up the the pit bull's face repeatedly, then wonder why you got bit. Gee, I wonder. Everyone has a breaking point, and it seems you thrive on trying to find people's breaking points by throwing around constant subtle insults. The reason I'm not complaining about Axtell (although God knows he takes every opportunity he can to derail threads by whining about all things New York) is because I've seen him discuss other topics. I've seen him have civil conversations about sports cards and other sports. Seriously, I've never seen him act like an ass unless he's arguing with you. And in a related note, I've seen you post in another forum one time - and that was to derail a thread started by Ripublicaninmass when he was asking a serious question about cards. Keep that crap on here, don't start taking your p*ssing matches to other forums. And one final note about this subject - I've seen you start at least five threads stating that you aren't responding to Axtell anymore, or calling him out after he says he won't respond to you. This is NOT sports talk. And by posting such threads, you are doing the opposite of what you promised not to do (responding to Ax). If you want to argue, do it privately or do it on the OPEN forum.
3. And my final complaint: By posting so many threads, you are ruining the sports forum. Yesterday, it took me a good ten minutes to find my Red River Shootout thread I started a few days before. It was buried FOUR PAGES BACK. I was excited about the win, and I wanted to hear other fans' thoughts about the game. I've only been waiting five years for this. Did anyone get a chance to respond? Hell no. You appeared, started posting numerous threads, and it got buried again. Unlike you, I refuse to create a new thread when I want people to see what I have to say. I just gave up. I haven't heard from the other Horns fan (stown) yet, so I assume he's spent the last several hours trying to find my thread. That's what you do, Gemmy. Any actual sports threads get buried when you come on and start spamming. Seriously, many threads I've enjoyed reading are nowhere to be seen. They just die, the good sports talk gets ended because people don't want to spend hours searching for old posts. And the rare instances where we start getting some good sports talk, most threads are derailed when you come on and post some condescending - and usually completely off topic - remark. Of course, many others are guilty of this as well, I'm not singling you out.

Gemmy, if you read none of Throwdown's post - you need to take a minute and read the above portion I took the liberty of quoting.
Perfectly stated!
On the other hand, I saw a segment on a news show today about "cyber bullies". These people are classified as internet posters who are consistently attacking, imposing their own views and mean spirited. Reminded me of O'Axtell.

This is why I voted yes. You are making it clear that you could care less that making this board your personal posting paradise is at the expense of other threads. That is pure selfish, plain and simple.
Perhaps if you would be a little more flexible and listen to the community when they ask you to not create 12 threads about 1 game you wouldn't be feeling the pressure of possible banning.
