What are your registry goals for this 2005 year

I would like to get or stay in the top 20 in all my sets.

What are your goals?

  • I don't know, maybe actually get one of my sets to 50% complete? Oh wait, I know, I could try to finish my 1972 mint set by Jun 05. It would be #1.

Make top five all time with this set.

    Syl's Kennedys

I am just two cents from having all 09 to date complete. I have one nagging "Brown" cent in my 09-58 circ set that I want at least a 63 R&B coin. I have one at PCGS right now that may take care of that. Next, I will get most of the key varieties, and the heck with the rest. Finally, I will get all proofs 36- to date, and a few varieties in proof. So, overall. I just want all bacsic circ and proofs done this year.

Pay off my 1916-D (credit card bill). Other than that I don't have a goal... Maybe find a few nice upgrades?

  • I would like to have two #1 sets and get a couple of others back in the top five.
All I need is some more $$$$$$$.
I may have to sell some sets to pay for my gas ($50 per fill up).

I know how you feel about the gas,
My pick-up truck took aver $75.00 to fill up and it wasn't totally empty.

I will be looking for two more mercury dimes to add to my set one being an 1931-S the other ???? .

I think with those two I may get back in the top twenty. I believe at some time one will have to have a 100% complete set in the mercury dime set to be in the top 20.

    1. Finally completing the early proof Jefferson set that has been lagging for years.

    2. Getting PCGS to cross my 38 Proof 68 from across the street.

    3. Finally finding all the coins I need with pops of more than 10 in my late date set of Jeffs (see my want list at the bottom).

    4. Finally hitting the lottery for 300 million... hey, I can dream can't I?

  • I keep on having to bump this back but I want to be at 90 % on my Kennedy set and add a few to my Type set ( That part is done ). I have been out to sea so much this year that I would be happy to get to 85 % on my Kennedy set.

I'd be happy to upgrade just one coin in my 1938-64 non-FS Jefferson set.

Sounds like a simple goal, but I'll be thrilled if it happens.
    When in doubt, don't.

If you still possessed all the coins everyone else aquired from you I bet your set would be almost 100%.
I'm looking forward to seeing your killer set progress. Those top pops are awesome. imageimageimage

My goals are to upgrade Memorials, add Wheaties and Proofs, stay in the top 20, and watch Water Sport

My 2005 goal was to get my 1792 to 1964 Complete Registry set to 85% complete. It is currently 83.94% complete (started off the year at 76% complete). Here's the link: PocketPiece 1792-1964 Complete Registry Set

Sell about 1/3 to 1/2 of my coins over time as I look for new ones...the thrill is in the chase image

Overall, I'd like to reduce my "serious" coin collection to no more than 100 coins as a lifetime total.

I'd then like to spend some of the excess $$ on doing fun nimismatic projects with my kids, the future of numismatics.

Bump up a few of my short sets as time and finances permit ... perhaps upgrade some grayside sets provided PCGS turnaround time improves.

I wanted to get 6 upgrades in my wash set, I got 5 so far. I've accomplished all my other goals for my
wash set except one. I need a pretty toned 34D MS66. My other goal was to make the first 1963P
Roosie in MS67FB. That hasn't happened yet either......image

My goal is to maintain my standards and hope to find a coin or two that fit them.
