On his play he is a lock -- I cannot think of anyone else who even comes close. The only think that might hold him back would be the steroid issue.
I see that there is a fan vote sponsered by MLB and Viagra. Is this how the offical award will be determined, or does the BBWAA have the official vote?
Junior gets the NL comback POY, no question.

Not only should he be excluded from CPOY but he should also give back his tarnished AL MVP award.
Giambi is a cheater, and deserves nothing.
CPOY Ballot!!
Quietly going about his business in Seattle, likely to hit 40 HRs, over 100 RBIs, and batting .275...all from a guy who missed most of last year due to injury.
I think there will be a LOT of people not voting for that cheat Giambi...and let's not sugar coat him. Those supporters of his who say he stepped up and apologized for steroid use? Hah. He never said what he was apologizing for, and does anyone think for a second he'd have come out on his own if his BALCO testimony wasn't leaked?
Should he win? No.
<< <i>I am not so sure he will win - you can make a great case for Sexson based on his stats, and there might be a lot of resistance to give any type of award to Giambi, especially in light of the Palmeiro public relations fiasco for MLB. >>
Possible. I had the pleasure of seeing Sexson hit that GS at Fenway just inside the Pesky Pole!!
If he doesn't get it, it's a travesty.
