Wow Seahawks Up 21-0!

AxtellAxtell Posts: 10,037 ✭✭
Where's the vaunted Vick and Atlanta offense?

Is the 'short week' excuse going to get used and abused on this one? The short week didn't seem to affect Philly....

edit: I must edit this to reflect that I am by no means a Seahawk fan, in any shape or form, but I found it surprising that a team that was supposed to be a force in the NFC is struggling against a team not known for it's defensive prowess.

  • Nope... it's the "game after emotional win"... too bad all teams couldn't play the 49ers this week.

Aren't you a Seahawks fan image

It is the Seahawks, ya know. They could still crumble in the fourth quarter.

You're right, though, I'm very surprised by that score at this point.

hehe here come the Falcons again...I should learn to post after the game, not during image

Oh well, at least I'm not like some people who only post when the outcome is certain.

21-18....Hasselback gave them the ball. Looks like you need to stop worring about Griese who was perfect today and worry
about your man Hasselchoke. Dude has butterfingers!

    Perfect? heh

  • Well I guess it's safe to come out Falcons haters. They made it interesting near the end, but they dug their hole too deep in that horrific 1st half.

You'll soon have people (and I won't name any names) who have made a habit of posting after the fact coming and saying 'I knew it all along! The falcons are phonies!'

Why was Vick not playing the last sequence? I switched to the game during the final minute - did he get hurt?

  • Yeah, he was cramping up, hopefully nothing serious.
  • I have alexander on my fanstasy team and he did pretty good for me this week! I try to catch the hawks on tv but in the bay area its always the niners and maybe one other game on sunday....and I'm too cheap to spring for dtv and all. oh well, im glad the hawks one and are now tied for the division lead!

Hasselbeck and Alexander always seem to do very well at home (I have Alexander on my team as well), and he was within a yard of leading the league in rushing last year...he's nearly always a solid play.

Everyone knows the Seachokes, are worthless on the road. They play is that sissy division and managed to make it to the playoffs while
other teams who play in real division don't get in...Then Seattle goes and chokes in the playoffs

    Sissy division?

How many super bowls have the 49ers won? How many did the Rams win? That division has produced tons of super bowl winners, but it's going through a down cycle.

One could argue that the NFC south is a sissy division...I mean how many super bowls have the teams there combined to win? Falcons? 0. Saints? 0. Panthers? 0. Bucs? 1.

LOL I love these 1990 flashbacks...when is the last time the Niners won anything....like years ago. That division is weak and has been
for sometime now. Rams, Cards, Niners...those teams scare no one. Its Pathetic that you even bring up those teams! It aint my fault
that you root for a team that chokes in the playoffs!

Last time the 49ers won anything? Uhm, who did the Bucs beat on the way to the super bowl? I think that was the 49ers...

Joe your sense of history is pathetic...just because at this moment in time the Bucs are playing in a good division, doesn't mean it's always been that way. I love how you skew debates to forget about the things you say on one hand, then bring them up again. When you talk about good teams, you say 'only good teams have rings!' then when this is brought up, you say 'those teams with rings - that was ancient history!'

Which is it joe? Do rings count or not?
  • Oh btw, here is how your boys faired against the sissy division last year(1-3):

Lost to Seattle at home 6-10
    Lost at St. Louis 21-28
Won against San Francisco at home 35-3
    Lost at Arizona 7-12

(taken from www.buccaneers.com) and note that you lost at home to the seahawks

The bucs do look much better this year than last year though.

I'd like to see Stalin's excuse for this one. Our only win against the NFC west last year was against the niners, who were among the league's worst teams last year.

So, Joe, care to explain this one away?
  • I don't really care one way or the other for the Seahawks, but the only reason I don't want to see them win is because they will be on television more and I may have my eyeballs burned out by the end of the season by the most god-awful uniforms in the history of the NFL. Who is to blame for the atrocious color scheme of seafoam green (or whatever) helmets, jerseys and the same color pants. I would like to see how the players feel about having to go out every week in those embarrasing uniforms.
