We're ranked ahead of you because we punked you at your house last year, and we completed a forward pass in our last game.

We also have 4 SEC schools in the top 10.
    image
    image
  • That 'cause the ACC stole 3 of those teams from the Big East!! image
  • punked us hey? I wouldnt call winning by 1 score and intercepting a pass as time expired a "Punking"...

you completed a pass against wyoming...whats their D rank in the country? Last? LOL
    Miami is top 5...
And it doesn't matter who you play. You will lose to Tenn, and Miss. State is licking their chops!

  • 1.) 20-13. If you didn't like who started at QB, take it up with your coaches, it was their decision.

2.) FSU won 38-34 in 2004 with some major zebra love. There were five fumbles in that game, all of which were ruled incorrectly in FSU's favor, which led directly to 21 points for FSU.

3.) In 2000, which was Mark Richt's last year as Offensive Coordinator, FSU averaged 39 pts/gm. Since Jeff Bowden assumed OC, that average has steadily declined, reaching a low last year of 25 pts/gm. That's the lowest total in over 20 years at Florida State.

4.) Since 2000, FSU has lost 17 games, with 15 of those losses coming in the years 2001-2005.

5.) Since the departure of Mark Richt following the 2000 season, the coaching staff at FSU has remained almost completely unchanged. This is holding true as they head into the 2005 season as well.

6.) FSU has lost 6 straight to Miami. Woops! 6 out of 7.

7.) Prior to 1947, FSU was an all-girls school.

8.) FSU offers courses in how to study to be both a chiropractor and a circus clown.

Why do you keep calling Miami top 5! They were ranked #9!

And if you call winning by one score not a punking, why do you call winning by a FG (with the tying field goal botched) 'dominating'?

    Jeez get your facts straight!

They paid how much for Urban Meyer to give up touchdowns at home against Wyoming??? That was pathetic. Million dollar
coach, Senior QB and you will still have 2-3 losses hung on you. Who are you playing this week....La Tech??

The sad part is that Tennessee sucks too! The SEC is wasting top 10 room...they will be exposed soon enough!

Don't you wish you all could beat Miami?? Oh wait..you don't play Miami anymore...WUSSIES

Miami was ranked #9, not 5. And who do the Noles play next week? You only played miami BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO.

So how does one get such rose-colored glasses? Did you buy them from spammy?

FSU's schedule through one game is tougher than all of USC's schedule! and whats the error? You don't think Maimi is better than
Va Tech, OU and Tennessee??? Miami could beat most of the top 5 teams now. You all are just scared of defense, you know you
if you all came down here you would go back in a cardboard box. Go play your hawaii's and Idaho's

If the Noles are so awesome, and overpowering as you 2 loudmouths (read: joe and lou) proclaim them to be, why not go on the road to USC and play them?

Why do the noles play a 1-AA team in week two, the first time in 10 years they've scheduled such a weak opponent?

    Pathetic!

  • why does a team that is so "Good" like USC not schedule a good out of conference team? Because they are scared! Those overrated pansys don't want none of FSU! Look at their last lossess! They got punked by good teams on the road....Just cause you beat Cal At home doesn't make you good. (Beat, that's funny because had the ball not been thrown ahead just by a tad of the reciever cal would have won!)
First time in 10 years schedule such a weak opponent...Run down USC's History and tell me!
THEY ALWAYS PLAY CUPCAKES...California was frosting untill just a few years ago!
Oregon hasn't been good since 2002!!!!!!!!!!!
We play 1 easy team in 10 years and you start calling us soft!? Hahahah....that game will be over after 5 minutes. Then we play BC on the road! USC would never schedule Miami at home then 2 wks later go to boston and play on the road! It's called balls baby....and it's obvious pete and his clowns don't have any! I'm sure ASU and Hawaii are some tough opponents! LOL

  • Skipster, do you know anything about college football???

All those teams you listed (except for Hawaii) are CONFERENCE games for USC. They have to play them, whether they are good or not.

You have no room to talk about weak conferences, since FSU ran to the basketball-only ACC instead of accepting an invitation to join the SEC. Saint Bobby wanted a guarantee that they would not have to play Auburn and Alabama in the same year, and Roy Kramar (then SEC Commish) would not make that promise. So FSU joined the ACC.

The only reason that the ACC is even respectable today is because they had to loot other conferences to get respectable programs, since none existed in-house.

FSU can schedule whoever they choose for non-conference games, so why schedule a Div 1-AA team? Sure, UF plays LaTech Saturday, but at least they are a 1-A team.

    image
    image
  • Citadel would drop atleast 2 scores on UF...and probably 3-4 on La Tech.
Want no part of Auburn or Alabama? Auburn just got punked on their home field by Tech!
Alabama? when they arent on probation they still are not that good of a football team!
I'd much rather play in the SEC...You get cake teams like Kentucky...Vandy...And Miss State...whoops! Guess they arent so easy...well unless you're maine...image

Funny, while UF whines that they are in the mighty SEC, they always play Vandy, Kentucky, and SC every year....nice
of you to drop Auburn and Alabama off your schedule too. OH and Miami is gone too. Didn't Vandy almost beat you
    last year??

The Noles have a little welcome present for Urban!!!

You and skippy have to be the two most uneducated sports fans I have ever seen!

Teams have ZERO say over who they play in-conference. Conference schedules are set by the conference, not individual teams.

We play Vandy, Kentucky, and S-Car every year because they are in our division (Eastern Division). We are required to play all of our division opponents every year. Each Eastern Division team has a permanent Western Division team which they must play every year. Florida's permanent Western Division opponent is LSU. That leaves two conference games. Those games are rotated among the Western Division teams, which for Florida this year is Alabama and Miss St.

FSU does not play Va-Tech, but it's not that you are ducking them, they are not in your division. Will you play them eventually? Yes. But not this year because it has not been mandated by the conference. But of course, you'll just say "they don't want none of us, beleee dat."

Let me say this again for the FSU educated: NO TEAM IN AMERICA HAS ANY CONTROL OVER WHO THEY PLAY IN CONFERENCE.

Of course, you two will do what you always do. Just ignore the facts and post some mindless prediction about how great the Semenholes are.

  • didn't lorenzen from Kentucky come close to knocking off the gates?
    Ahhhhhhh good ole SEC.
We arent ducking, exactly...kind of like you duck Miami and took them off your schedule!

We are not scared of Va Tech...there best team was the national title team, and we wiped those clowns in the sugar.

Once again you show zero knowledge of college football. Kentucky has not beaten UF since 1986.

Whether you win by 3 points or 18 points, its still a win. I would think you would understand that, considering how pathetic FSU's offense has been recently.

Miami and Florida mutually agreed to suspend the series due to revenue issues. Both teams would prefer to sell out their home stadiums to invited opponents to generate more revenue. That's how Florida recently expanded the stadium by 10,000 with all private funds.

Actually, we proposed playing home-and-home games on those years that the NCAA allows a 12th game. They declined.

Who said anything about FSU being scared of Va Tech? FSU has no say at all on whether they play them or not, because all conference games are scheduled by the ACC.

Now, this is the part where you say "FSU is dominant! Don't think no different!" Instead of addressing any facts on this post, or ANY post in this entire thread?

Try being courteous to your fellow board members...oh wait! You're a noles fan! You know nothing of being nice to other people.

  • Instead of Skippy addressing any factual questions, he scours the Internet for more pics to add to his sig line!

Spurrier has addressed many times the reason for not returning to Florida: He wanted to coach in the south, preferably the SEC, and he wanted to take on the challenge of building a winner, so he chose So Car.

Privately, others have speculated that he was offended that he was asked to interview for the UF job instead of it being offered to him unconditionally.

IMO, I think he did the right thing for both parties. So Car gets a dang good coach who gives them a great opportunity to improve, and Florida gets Urban Meyer. I think Spurrier will probably only coach for 5-7 years, and then retire. With Urban we have a coach who could possibly be at UF for 20+ years.

But I'm sure all this is over your head, skippy.
