  • HOFer all the way. I don't think he received the recognition he deserved because he wasn't out spoken or flashy. It was time for him to retire but I will miss seeing him in action.
    Currently collecting

Vintage golf, 1981-82 Donruss golf, and a few other odds and ends.

What? I think he received plenty of recognition, and rightfully so. I don't know of another player at WR who people consistently say is better than Rice, or who possesses better workout and training habits than him. One thing you always hear people say is - he is the best wide receiver to ever play the game.

  • the "should have retired years ago club" members include baseballs ricky henderson, hockeys mark messier.basketballs karl malone and footballs jerry rice. all-time greats all of whom should have retired at least before the dawn of the 21st century!image
  • Don't forgot about the comeback tries of Michael Jordan and Ryne Sandberg. Actually, you should try to forget them.

Ya gotta take your hat off to this guy - a great player and a class act. I wish him well in retirement. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he gets involved in coaching.
  • Hate to see him go. I thought he'd struggle this season, but I don't blame him for trying. Seems to be almost the passing of an era. Oh, well.
