I am confused (again)

According to the PCGS page, their Photo service is only good for US coins. Yet, I see this coin from NEN:

image
A nice image Phil, but it is a world coin.

From the PCGS site:

<< <i>Raw coins may be submitted under the following service/fee levels: Regular Grading & Photo Service ($35); Express Grading & Photo Service ($55); and Walkthrough Grading & Photo Service ($125). >>

It also says:

<< <i> World Coins, Mint Errors, and Special Issues are exempt from turnaround guarantees, thus they may not be submitted through Regular, Express or Walkthrough services. >>

They better get used to it because I'm submitting dozens of Vic schtuff. I just added the $5 per coin. Twenty which are already in slabs will probably arrive Tuesday.

BTW, that pattern looks mighty fine for a 64BN.

cool pattern. Mac lets us know how the pictures turn out. Will they photograph coins in non PCGS holders? Perhaps this was asked and answered and I missed it.

That is an awesome piece and would have been a nice design on circulating coinage.

How exactly do you add the photoservice in a submission form?

No confusion at all for me. You don't have to send your coins to PCGS to get them imaged.

Congratulations Bill, I hadn't noticed the results although I knew about the contest. That will teach Darkhorse to be humble! image

CK, they will only accept PCGS coins which have been previously graded by them for the 'reholder/image' service. For other TPGs, I believe you would have to go the usual grading (raw - I don't think they consider crossovers either) route with the image option.

At least no crossovers on the same submission.

Of course, you could send them to Cosmic!imageimage

I have been informed that PCGS will image World coins. All you have to do is enclose payment and a note telling them to do so.

Another pattern for your viewing pleasure (NEN coin)

Another cool pattern. In this case, though, I am glad they kept the design that is on the circulating coinage.
