Great coins....I didn't know anyone would grade ancients

How do they deal with the subject of cleaning since I would imagine the vast majority of all ancients are cleaned to remove all of the crud and build up??? Just wonder as I would love to submit some coins

I think they are more lenient with the question of cleaning with ancient, just like the TPGs are with early US coins. I have had ancients BBed for 'corrosion'. I was a little annoyed with this, afterall, the coin was in the ground for 2000 years, of course there is some corosion.
