OK, before wybrit tells us that the British offerings are poor, I think they're very average collector oriented. Here are a few examples:

    for the JamminJs of this world {you buy them ,you slab them all image }

    or get it already slabbed

    for slabbed hammered fans

    for Aethelred

    for Victorian type sets

    for ajaan

this one looks nice for my album

    for Roy

    for me

edited to add the examples image

  • I honestly wouldn't mind having the oban that's featured in the front cover image

Too bad it easily costs over 20 grand image

I'd be happy with an early koban... or a chougin!

I looked through the online catalog and must admit (in the manner of Jimmy Carter) that I have numismatic lust in my heart. image

I'd have to go with your pick for Roy, even though it's outside my usual arenas. image

Of course, your pick for yourself is pretty nice lookin', too...

I appreciate your fine giveaway offer Dimitri, but I really wouldn't feel right putting a pre-Meiji coin in my collection. Now, if you want to give me the ¥20 gold coin in the Goldberg Pre-Long Beach catalog, I could be persuaded.image

While there are not a lot of pieces being offered. there are some reasonably nice examples in the catalogue.

Unfortunately, as with the Goldberg auction, I am not participating, though there is one piece that just may make me break that vow....

  • I got the catalog yesterday, there are a couple I am interested from both HWCA and Goldfarb, just not sure if I will persue them or not..... image
