Ever buy an error card... and didn't know it?

So I picked up a nice 1954 Bowman common (#216 Jerry Snyder) and sent it in to PSA hoping for a 7. As I tend to do, I missed a surface wrinkle (damn you surface wrinkles!) and it came back a PSA 5.

On the bright side, it turned out to be a rare variation of which my example makes one of only four PSA-graded copies (for comparison, the correct version has 65 graded examples). A nice surprise!

I purchased a raw 58 Topps Clemente on ebay for about $60. I had it graded and it came back a 6 and was the yellow letter version. I sold it for $385. I had no idea it was a variation, but it worked out well. image

A couple of years ago I purchased a 1984 TCMA Roger Clemens PSA 8 that included the rest Pawtucket Red Sox set with it. When it arrived, I found that it included all of the variation cards with it as well. image

The corners on that card look like a 5. Are you sure there is a surface wrinkle as well?
