A dram is a wee portion of a drink. To get technical, it is 1/8 of an ounce. Being of Scottish and Irish descent, you become familiar with this unit of measurement at an early age. The pipes are a very cool instrument when played properly. When not played properly, they can sound like some great beast experiencing a terrible death.
