Gene - SDLL Obverse 2 with a couple of small bumps. I am guessing ICCS 60BN but, since I got it for about 20% of trends, no worries. - Rob

If it's not at least MS65 RD in a PCGS slab, it's not worth collecting, is it? image

    Congrats on the great find.

Shiro - I have lots and lots of circulated Canada large cents, but I do REALLY like the red ones. image - Rob

I can't even afford the red ones (at least not the ones originally red and not those made red recently). I picked up the majority of an old collection off a bid board for a fraction of book. Most were VF to EF, but I still like them. I even bought one with questionable toning (1891 SDLL, can't remember the obverse) because I liked it. image

I salute those who spend the time, energy, and funds to build top tier collections. Once my daughter graduates from college in 17 years I'll try to compete.

    Rob -

nice coin, I couldn't tell if obv 2 or 3 by looking at the chin. But HRM eyebrow and nostril looks like C3 to me, I'm using the Haxby & Willey pix. Either way that's an $1100C coin.

    cha ching!
