    Beautiful coin! And as a comment to newsman's comment ( image ) I would say that the coin definately looks AU to me. There are traces of light wear on the Queen's hair and the tiny nicks in the surface of the coin also indicates a very short while of circulation.

    I would say that it has been dipped. There are no signs of any toning on it. I still like it though for the $145 that I paid for it.image

    Definitely a beautiful rendition of the queen. Also available on many colonial issues, including the Indian rupees.
