Has anyone else noticed that the Post Office is getting very slow? I mailed a coin out on July 22nd to CA and it was delivered Aug 1. It was Registered that takes a day or so longer, but c'mon, 10 days to get to CA? It used to take 3 days.

Regular First Class mail to/from a friend in KY usually takes 3 days, but Priority Mail takes 4 days
As a side note, I received two letters from CA on the same day a few years ago. Looking at the post mark I saw they were both sent out the same day. One was mailed 1st class, the other Priority mail. One cost 37c the other $3.95 or whatever it was at that time.

But yes, this is just my speculation, I noticed slower mails worldwide except for postcards and normal airmail...
The little secret the USPS doesn't want you to know: priority mail and regular mail frequently take the same amount of time.
I think it might be a seasonal delay.
Must be the Christmas rush!!

I know this. Whenever the Postal clerk asks me: 'do you want to send it by priority mail? It's only 20c more' or the like I always tell them no. Priority mail is best used when sending something heavier and using the POs $3.85 envelope or $7.70 box.

I had an experience recently with a situation that was not what I had hoped... and I will give credit to the US Postal Service, the item did not get lost
edited to add: And for the record, there is someone here that can share this story but I am not asking that they do so.
