Bought this lot on ebay with 1 pack of each 81, 82, 83, 84, and 85 Donruss. Now finding it extremely hard not to bust them. LOL. Anyone up for a pack break?

I think scissors are more accurate than whatever was used to cut those '81's.....

The big question is whether the 81 pack was an error pack or not.......
Dave Smith with the incomplete stat box and Unser with no 3B in stat header would make it a big day.
And, that 82 Von Hayes rookie is pretty sweet!!!!

There were some stars but I do not have enough experience with unopened to say if they were tampered packs or not. Most of them were pretty tight and they seemed like they were sealed pretty well.

That was an interesting experience! Sorry you didn't get any stars.
It just gives everyone an appreciation for the early years of these companies and what came out.
I got to say - I'm kind of partial to Topps with respect to quality in those years. I remember opening a lot of 87D which had somewhat better quality even with the black borders.

Two cards may grade ( I think)..........Foli and Wise
Even though the Foli has a rough cut left side, I believe, since the set is notorious for the rough cut that PSA doesn't detract for the rough cut. I think you can still get a 9 for that card........
