This is my contest, but I think I speak for everyone when I congratulate
STONE193
For being the member of the year. Thanks for your insight on cards, your cool head in the skankiest of threads, and your tolerance with newbies. Men want to be you, and women want to... sell your cards and buy purses. Please make the most of your mudflap, and keep in mind that it will be passed to someone else in July 2006.
Everyone else, post away - I dare you to flame this guy.
My Astros cap is off to you Sir.

Seriously, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
What a coincidence !
Stone was the front-runner to win an unprecedented third consecutive Wolfie award
for excellence in posting this year, but got nosed out at the last minute by ...
Just kidding ... Stone won that award again this year too.
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
Heck, I'll drink a beer to just about anything though!
Congrats, Mike!

Uh oh - do I detect the possibility that mudflap is going somewhere else with this thread? Better have another beer then...
Maybe this is going to be a spam thread to promote Mike's company, Pogo Stick Grading. Perhaps Mudflap just became a major shareholder and was named Vice President.

A conspiracy theory! I love those. Hmm remember when Dave Foreman started tearing apart PSA and pimping SGC, his new grader of choice? Shortly thereafter SGC announced Foreman was their new president .... So muddy, if you are a newly appointed executive of PogoStick Grading, you'd better come clean now before the rumors start flying.
Of course, I'm kidding!
Ah, what the heck, these TWO are for you!
Mike...is the man. nuff said.
Good choice, does he get slabbed in a special holder now?

To The Top!!!!
Congrats Mike.
You can definitely be expecting a strange package in the mail soon. Ask pAndrews about strange packages (he knows about more than one kind of strange package, but preface it with baseball cards in the mail).
Congrats for winning this prestigious award. The Academy spent weeks covening before the final results were delivered.
All the kinds words in this thread are well-deserved. Any question that is asked, you know that Mike is going to throw something out there that is on the money. Thanks for all the help!

It’s short Perry.
Thanx! To be recognized by peers/friends is an honor.
Keep in mind, anyone here is only as good as the great company they keep.
It’s a privilege to meet with you all every day and exchange our thoughts on what most would agree is a passion. Why we do it, is a personal/individual thing.
Your friend
Mike
And, finally a picture is worth a thousand words! And, I've spoken these often!!!
Truely worthy of all accolades...and these...

...and I'm loving it
I'm happy with my 89th place finish.
It's just we all know that we can never stay serious for more than 10 minutes!
Lostdart - I know what you're saying - and I think the humor of the chests as a metaphor was missed.
My point: this is a great hobby and IMO, should not be taken too seriously in the big picture of life.
When we hold on too tight - and some debates have gone that way - it eventually "holds on to us."
