I also express my condolences to the people of London and the United Kingdom.

The London Underground was my primary method of transportation when I lived there. While it was under occasional threat while I was there, nothing significant ever really happened. What a cowardly act by a bunch of extremists.

My condolences along with the others!

Cowards always act from the shadows and strike at the innocent... too bad the justice system will not allow these people to suffer the way they have inflicted suffering on the people they attacked!

From what they are saying on the news it seems at least one of the terrorists got his just deserts. They seem to think that the bus explosion was accidental, a terrorist was taking the bomb somewhere when it went off prematurely. Unfortunately more innocent people around him (exact figure unknown at the moment) have paid the consequences also.

These guys are not just murderers and cowards, but are something worse. They are extremists that have a certain very distorted view of the world and see the rest of the world as being wrong for not converting to the 'true' path as specified by them. These guys are fundamentalists, you're either with or against, if your against you have to be annihilated. These guys simply put are nutcases that have the audacity to use religion as an excuse (and this can be any religion) and bring god into it to give sanction to their deeds. They are hypocrits. THOU SHALT NOT KILL, i'm sure this is a theme common to most religions. Any modifications on that are not the work of any god but are the work of scribes adding bits into the sacred texts. And different interpretations that crop up through mistranslation from one edition to another.

Doing it for religion? If anyone's going to pay in whatever afterlife it is, then it'll be them.

  • London is a wonderful city, and I have ridden the tube numerous times, it is sad that these animals can not see the reality; they are accomplishing little.

Let them 'come out' and show themselves and face an honorable way to fight.

Thoughts and prayers are with any and all who have been impacted by these atrocities.....

I can only echo the sentiments already expressed. My sincere condolences to all in the UK.

I have never visited but would like to one day. My boss is supposed to travel to London and Birmingham for business next week.

My condolences to the People of London. This brings back memories of 9/11 seeing the smoke from the first tower hit. Then the second tower and the huge smoke plume after the collapse and smelling for days the stink of the smoldering fire when the wind blew from NYC towards where I live. Damnit when the hell are the people going to wake the hell up and stop playing around with these human roaches and exterminate them where ever they happen to be. This is a WAR people! I am so damn tired of the media humanizing these b*****ds. The NY Times calls Zaquawi (SP) a Jordanian Fighter! Give me a Break! He is nothing but a crude barbarian that beheads his captives to try and bend the will of countries to retreat from the fight. Ah whats the use! Sorry for the rant but that's the way I feel so if I offend anyone sorry but TOO BAD.....

Birmingham turned out to be a false alarm.
  • My deepest condolences to all the British people. My school-mate lives in the center of London, fortunatelly he was in buisness trip in Europe in that day. But some of londoners weren't so lucky...image

    Well update on this front.

The four bombers it is believed were all suicide bombers. At least three of them were British born of Pakistani origin. Those three all came from West Yorkshire, two from Leeds and i think one from Dewsbury.

According to the news the areas of Leeds where they came from are being searched.

West Yorkshire is a county that has a rather high ethnic 'minority' makeup (i say minority but this is not exactly the case in these areas where the majority is of ethnic origins other than British, so they are the majority in these areas). So as you can imagine there's been a high police presence in most of the towns and cities in this area.

I also got a day off work today because when i turned up the whole university had been cordened off and evacuated due to a bomb scare, since they'd found a suspect package in the library. Which meant every building on the campus was evacuated as a safety measure. So i arrived, stopped ten minutes with the rest of the congregation that had either just arrived or had been there since the evacuation. Then we were told to go home. So that was a whole lotta fun considering it's nearly a two hour journey each way, but these measures are definately necessary in the current climate.

The Railway station was also being patrolled by the British Transport police which have kept a visual at most medium to large UK stations since the tragic events of last thursday. I also noticed that all of the station bins have disappeared yet again. Many stations had only had them reinstated in the last 5 or so years as the IRA terrorist threats had subsided... now we're back at square one again.

Time to redecorate the Tower with the heads of some British imams. Those bombers were all young. Someone had to inspire them. image

....being drawn and quartered used to send an effective message to the troublesome Scots in days of yore.

But then, maybe a weekly BBC broadcast showing the Muslim masses a guilty Imam being bathed in pig fat would be less 'problematic' for the squeamish crowd.
