It is hard to take a picture of a proof coin without getting reflections. Some people think that Proofs come out better with diffuse light. Do you know about the lampshade trick? It involves putting the coin under a lampshade and taking the picture through the top of the shade with any light coming from the sides through the shade. I'm just a beginner at photography, but I think my proofs come out acceptable, even with my cheap camera. Here is an example.

Proofs are tough - the lens has a habit of showing up. You might take a shot off center to see if that helps.
