Softparade is off to Florida - anyone else going somewhere special? My wife went to Indianpolis - I'm not traveling yet - I'm home "protecting" the computer!

No, we are staying at home. Just bought a new (actually 2003, but new to us) 25 ft. travel tailer. Big into camping. Family grew out of the pop-up. But it is alway over crowded at the campgrounds so we are staying at home. Hope everyone hear has a nice and safe holiday.

Ditto here all, safe travels galore.

No big plans, probably hit beach up sunday and play some ultimate frisbee. There is a pretty sweet dodge-ball court right by beach, always fun to watch good game of dodge ball after sparking my own fireworks.

We are going to the beach/waterfront and watching the works there. We are having a "red tide" problem here in Fl. so going to the beach isnt that pleasant. (The picture is not mine but this is what it looks like along the beaches where I live).

Happy and safe 4th to all - unfortunately, my plans include some work at the beginning of the weekend. But, by Sunday - beer and a nice cookout are on the menu (did I mention beer?).

Don't plan on anything here. And I work 3rd's Sunday night thru Thursday night, so I'm going to be
at work for the 4th. Can't afford to go driving around, Holiday weekend, they up'ed the gas to $2.36
around here. But I do hope everyone else has a great weekend.

Boy oh boy!
Two guys spending an hour on the State Trooper infested Florida Turnpike!

Going where?

Well, we played in a Saturday morning Texas Hold em tourney at the Hard Rock Hotel, Cafe & Casino in sunny (butlately, very rainy!) Fort Lauderdale, Florida.



I got 'knocked-out' right away! Waiting for my friend, I had to listen to an hour of Meatloaf, Heart, and the "know knows who" of rock n' roll, blasted on speakers (and monitors) all over the casino well, it is the Hard Rock you know!

Then, two hours later, my friend suffered a TKO (bad beat!), as he to got knocked-out.

Another hour's drive North, back to Palm Beach....

Well, ...its only rock n' roll!

Happy 4th everyone!!!!!!! Yesterday, I took my girlfriend up to the Pike National Forest (with our two English Bulldogs) for a picnic to celebrate the holiday. We came home that evening and had dinner and then drinks at a 5-star hotel here in town (Colorado Springs), I now have a fiance.

Mike, Port Richey is close to Tampa Basically northwest about a 1/2 hour drive. Also there is a New Port Richey which is close to Port Richey. The main road going through them is US 19. I think the Phillies still have spring training at the complex before New Port Richey right on US 19.

It's party time -- again! My wife's birthday is the day after the U.S. of A.'s big day. We partied with her co-workers after work on Friday night at a local sports bar -- with excellent food! I went to listen to live music last night and had my usual shot of Cuervo Gold and a hefeweizen (unfiltered wheat beer) and stuff. Tonight I've GOT to cool off with a beer or two. We've been busy cleaning our place for a birthday party for my wife we're having tomorrow (the 4th), so I'm sweating it out in the 80degree heat.

Needless to say I'll be tipping some more tomorrow as we celebrate with friends and family. We don't have to stray from the house at all as we can see fireworks from our upstairs balcony. Plus the neighbors keep us hopping with the fireworks for a week before and after the 4th!

I'll have to sober up for work again by Wednesday....
