<< <i>I had a chance to get a set of these and passed.
Interesting, as they have only been offered once by the primary Goetz auction house once in the past 15 years...

<< <i>It was lot 700 and had all (4) pieces it only sold for $40.00 and I did not bid
Those were iron examples which, I assume, were more common than the copper/brass/versilbert set. It would have still been nice to have it at that price.
I go back through that sale and marvel at the weak prices the entire Goetz sale brought. I think I ended up with 40 or so medals from this sale and I wish I had gotten another 40 because you can't touch a single piece for double or triple what they sold for such a short time ago. I remember wondering who the newbie was that was spending $1500 on the large Olympic piece was...I had gotten mine for $400 severak months earlier...they are now going for $1500 and higher. Thank God I've got two of them...
I'm still waiting for my Schaaf 320G2 3 Mark pattern to show...maybe tomorrow.
