Question for Canadian coin collectors - 1948 Dollar

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,448 ✭✭✭✭✭
A good price? I know the listing says 'example' but I trust GWC in their grading. Can a 1948 be found cheaper? If so, where? I really want to start filling the missing key dates in my collection.

Don - I believe you should be able to find that piece in the $500-$575US price range.

I'm saving my money for a nicer example, but prices keep going up! image

This is for my circulated set where the majority of the coins are not uncirculated, many are F-VF so I really don't want to spend more money for a nicer coin. I would love to find one in the $500 - $575 range but I don't know where to get one. If anyone knows where to find one in this range please let me know.

One concern I have about that auction is the seller states under the photograph that "The item shown is an example." If I am spending over $600 on a coin I want to see the actual coin I'm buying!

A very trusted Canadian dealer. They state they are going to take a coin out of stock. The price worries me more.

Anyone have a copy of the Canadian Coin News? Does Gatewest coins have a price on a 1948 Dollar in Fine?
