Yeah, PSA 8 is not a PSA 10. Bad!! But, we all "hate" or are "nervous" or say "seller would get more bids offering paypal". Now he is offering paypal but will make you pay his fee, and the now the buyer has some comfort or recourse if the transaction goes bad. The seller has the balls that most of us wish we had.

No he's just greedy and shady. From the obvious 'mistake' in the adline to him making the buyer pay for the 'convenience' of using paypal. These types of sellers remind me of the old-time card shop guys who try to sell their EX raw cards at MT prices.
I don't think this has anything to do with balls - this is plain trickery. And, more people will remember this seller, and probably choose not to deal with him as a result of this type of game-playing - because, if you are not upfront in your auction titles, are you honest about anything else? Not worth it, if you ask me.
You can not charge an advertised fee for using paypal (you can bury it in the shipping and handling but not charge a surcharge). if ebay was notified he would have to remove the 3% fee

That's exactly what he's doing. His appraisal of his raw '59s is way off, and he puts two of them edge to edge, trying to hide the fact that they are so off center there is no border left.
He's got a PSA5 86 Jordan that he says should be a 9. Not now, but it will be when somebody buys it and gets out the knife!
just emailed a question: is this auction for a psa10 or psa8.also notified (asked) paypal if a 3% "fee" is acceptable(included ebay item number).probably with his volume of sales they will not care.
I would be more pissed about the PSA 8 not a PSA 10, then his add back of the fees. So if you need the card, and he graded the card accurately, and still added back the paypal fee, would anyone buy the card? Remember, buyer has some comfort or recourse if the transaction goes bad. So what do you do? I would buy the card.
If you win this auction, there's no way he is able to add in his little 3%. If I were to win it, I'd paypal him exactly the amount the card went for and the shipping he advertises.
Actually, the 3% premium charge for Paypal is a Paypal violation not Ebay. Also, the seller has set himself up for a chargeback because under Paypal's "protection for seller", it says he cannot charge a premium for the service.

I was looking for some cards and does this irk any as it does me. The guy is selling a PSA 8 card, but states low population only 1/5. When you go into the action it states that the population for PSA 9 is 5. Like I care, your selling an 8 not a 9.
Your auction doesn't look to have anything underhanded about it. The guy never even implies that his card is 1/5. He is just pointing out that there are only 5 cards in a better holder than this one, demonstrating that his high end 8 is likely to be the one of the nicest examples that you will come across. Not the same as the the guy Mud called out simply lying about his card's grade.

Listed as a PSA10 (it's an 8), and a 3% premium for paying by paypal (is that even legit by ebay's rules?)
