Just curious...are there any big copper coins of the dark side? Excluding Condor's and other tokens, I mean actual government produced coinage for circulation...

    British 2p cartwheels.

Russian big coppers, I forget the denomination. 5 kopeks?

Condor tokens are not really that large. They are usually 1/2d tokens.

True, but acceptable given the question I guess. I tend to use copper and bronze almost interchangably when showing coins.

  • I have about 15 Swedish plates, the largest weighs 28 pounds, most weigh 3 to 8 pounds.

I was just planning to ask for other large coppers, I also have a couple of Swedish 1 Ore coins from 1644 that are larger than the cartwheel.

I am traveling tomorrow, and all of the next couple of weeks, so maybe a picture or two tonight.

Is this big enough? Just a tiny bit smaller than a Morgan, and with a female on the reverse. image

Everyone, stunning coins! Basically what I'm doing here is trying to find an addition to my "Beautiful Design" Darkside set. So far all in the set are silver and I really want to add at least one nice "RED" copper coin. So my restrictions are that the design must be stunning, made of copper, available in "red" level grades and big..I love big coins image (this might just be a pretty tough order to fill, especially with the "red" constraint)....(red copper is just oooooooooo so sweeeeeeet)

    nothing sweeter than red copper!!!!

how big is big???? the SA 1D coppers are bigger than a US quarter and in the later years (1950's) are readily available in red.

The Tempoh tsuuhou is also big, but it looks more like brass than bronze.
