How about a link or the auction number? I agree with Den - be careful that the second offer isn't really the "creation" of a "shill-winner" to make you think you are getting a bargain.
General rule - don't be affraid to pass on an item - there will be another along the way soon enough IMO.
If you are interested in a vintage education - I recommend you just read the boards for a while to include the vintage and registry forum and ask questions along the way. Most guys truly enjoy sharing their knowledge - keep in mind - there are no dumb questions!
Good luck

His feedback is only 18 but I looked at his completes and there were other maris graded and higher dollar purchases of vintage people were happy with.
He did have a reserve that was not met.
He doesn't list any shipping or ins charges so I used the ask the seller a question option, I am awaiting his response.
I just read this and I have a PSA 6 1962 Maris I was getting ready to put on ebay this week, please PM me and I will be happy to provide a scan and price if you are interested.
Thanks.

I wouldn't totally agree with that. The PSA 6 can be the buy of the century if you shop - if you can get a nicely centered one...they can be a great buy and you still get a really nice card/set to collect.
What is important, if keeping in context with your goals, is what your plans are? If you are looking at an investment, then high grade may be better - but if you are looking for enjoyment and still get a good looking set, take another look at the 6's in terms of price and bang for your buck IMO. There are some really good looking 6s out there!
Just something to think about.
