Topps Heritage Black Refractor All-Star Team

Hey guys-

Just thought I would share the results so far of my 05 Heritage Black Refractor endeavor, in the form of a team fielded of the players I currently have.

Pitchers-

Dontrelle Willis (04)
Curt Schilling (05)
Esteban Loaiza (04)
Tyler Clippard (05)
Matthew Lindstrom (05)
Sean Marshall (05)
Kole Strayhorn (05)
Jeffrey Allison (04)

Catcher-
vacant

First Base-
Albert Pujols (04)
Jeff Bagwell (05)
Ian Bladergroen (05)
Brian Harper (05)

Second Base-
vacant

Shortstop-
Jimmy Rollins (04)
Kenny Perez (04)

Third Base-
Darren Fenster (05)
Matthew Moses (04)

Left Field-
David Murphy (04)

Canter Field-
Magglio Ordonez (04)

Right Field-
vacant

Designated Hitter-
Frank Thomas (05)

As you can see, not only do we have some holes to fill, we also need to improve the quality of our team considerably. Despite the depth of our pitching rotation, not one of our hurlers has yet to throw in an official MLB game, nor were any born before 1980. In a related problem, our team does not have the bankroll of the New York Yankees, or even the College Station Yankees Little League Team. Perhaps the overall quality of our team is inversely correlated to the amount of money our owner seems willing to lay out for necessary upgrades.

This list will be updated as the team "improves" - please let me know if you have any potential "Dabney All-Stars" I do somehow have an extra Magglio Ordonez from 04 (White Sox) that I would love to trade away in order to acquire a different player.

Edit - we have just received our first wave of new signings - a group of holdouts from the 2004 season.

One more and i can complete the Cardinals outfield. I don't think Edmonds has a Black since his regular card is an SP. Damn!

Bjork73- Just curious, how much for the Pujols. I guess he did play Left field.

I still have Chaz Utley and Delmon Young on my roster if anyone is interested.

I also have a near complete chrome set, a bunch of sp's/vars and lots and lots of commons if anyone wants them.

Mudflap, I'll give ya first dibs on the black refractors if you want them.

We now have a solid rotation at first base thanks to a seller who listed a card to end on a Wednesday afternoon!

Please, this is the official 2005 Topps Heritage Black refractor All-Star team post. Let's try to keep it on topic.

I'm going to call PSA and see if they will slab DogMan when he moves on to the big dog show in the sky.

It's been a great week so far for the team. I've managed to add Pujols, Bagwell, and Schilling for less than $70. This still gives me a little wiggle room under the salary cap. Nice to see it finally taking shape!
