Goodwin & Co. Auction

I was looking at the Goodwin & Co. auction catalog in this weeks SCD and had a question. There are complete sets of the 1973 Topps Pinups and Topps Comics. Being a Stargell collector, I saw that he has them each listed with minimums of $495. I already have each of these but was wondering what the experts here thought they might go for? I know they are very rare, but I didn't pay $495 for both!

Those are the same two sets that were listed in the Mastro auction. I would be surprised if very many of them sell with opening bids like that. I really want to pull the trigger on the Ryan pinup, but at $495 it's a little out of my reach. The Ryan comic has 2 bids and is up to 550. I'm really surprised that the common players are opening at 250. Seems a little optimistic if you ask me.

They have several items priced ridiculously high for the opening bid... like an empty 1967 Topps Punch-outs wrapper at $895??? One sold on eBay a couple weeks ago for around $25. Common 1962 Stamp Panels in PSA 9 with opening bids of $95... they aren't worth half that.
