Hey, I saw that some oreville guy had nabbed it!! image

Do you have it yet? What's the cheek and general overall devices look like? Frost breaks or hairlines or handling marks in the fields?

Anyway, tough date and good price? image

Cladiator, SP means Specimen; somewhat akin to a proof, but not a proof. These are first strikes from specially prepared dies. After they were completed with formal SP strikings, they sometimes used them to strike MS coins for commerce.

SP= Specimen (never could spell it right)

I paid $308.77 plus $7.50 s&h&i. Appears to be a fair price. No I have not received it yet. Goldberg sold it on ebay, of all places. That was why I was asking for comments since I have not seen it close up. I had some concerns on how the cheek and devices would look, but being that it is in an very old PCGS slab that hopefully it would not disappoint.
