Think your going to have a hard time finding fillers for those other holes for under $40.00 per coin. But good luck and the search is going to be fun.

  • yep I know I'm getting close to the end of the 40.00 coins but I still hope to finish the set under a 40.00 average so far I'm doing great thereimage

If you want to remain under a $40 per coin average, you're going to end up with some very ugly coins.

Oh...the competition of the registry. I love it. I love seeing subject lines that read "Passing Signal On" or "finally reached #5"...it absolutely cracks me up. It's funny...but at the same time I appreciate it because it is alot of hard work!

For now, I have decided that I am going to wait to enter coins into my registry in lots of 10.....instead of one by one. Right now I have about 8 or 9 lincolns that I have not entered in my set and I'll wait until I have 10 to update my set online.

My registry excel spreadsheet at home allows me to know EXACTLY where I stand (thanks to Ernie Lyle!) without entering my coins! I like the element of surprise!

  • Hey Steve so far everyone of my coins is top rate not Ugly, if you had the paitence you to could put together a great set with out having to live on pb&j for the next 5 or 6 years. I had a goal when I started and even with the incresse in prices the last few years I have stayed in my goal. Throwing money at a coin will not garentee a great coin that is not a ugly dog. Yes I have a few remaining that will be more then 40.00 each ( much more) but I have plenty of room to make my average under 40.00 a coin.

Ellewood if I got more the ten coins a year I would wait also but I have worked hard to get back to the front page and every coin I get I just can't wait to get in my set. When I started I was at #14 or so with hardly any coins but after the Registry took off I fell like a rock but have been moving back up slowly so when I just missed getting back on the front page I had to glote a little.

Off to find more have a great day all.

Sorry to say that some of them really ugly coins can be a bit expensive too. Some of the early sixty's coins don't make the grade unless there mint set toned.
Just check my pictures from the link below.
    The number ten set.

  • Yep the price of the coin has nouthing to do with it being a ugly dog or not.
