Shipping to France?

Looks like I am going to be shipping THIS to France. I offered USPS Gobel priority in the auction listing. What else do I need to know?

Green Customs form. PS Form 2976 Did you give the option of Registered Mail w/insurance? If so, your maximum indemity is $40.40

  • I don't like sending higher caliber coins abroad when you can't insure them.

    From my auction listing:

<<Outside the USA I will only accept Bank Checks. No personal checks. ( Checks must clear my bank before the item ships. ) Shipping Internationally will be by USPS Global Priority Mail - Flat-rate Envelope and cost $5.00. Due to the fact that International shipping can not be fully insured, items sent outside the USA will be at the buyer's risk. I will not be held responsible for items lost in the mail.>>

I ship a lot of coins to France, and for the more expensive ones, I insist the buyers pay for Registered mail. So far, I have never had a Registered mail piece get "lost" in transit. image

The last time I got negged it was from a buyer in Belgium who hadn't received his coin after three weeks. The day after he left the neg, he sent me an email telling me the coin had arrived the week before but his wife hadn't told him image.

4 weeks I think. See if he can get a check written on a bank that also has offices in the US. HSBC Bank is one that comes to mind.
