OK, lighting does make a difference

I'm spending too much time on this, but I'm kind of enjoying learning what I should do to improve my coin photographs. I took some more photos this morning, with natural light from a window, some incandescent light from a floor lamp, and a bit of fill-in from my flash, and this:

But the after images are pretty decent. Drastic improvement.
