Not sure about that at all. I looked at many of my spare duplicate 1924's and many of them didn't have a D. Duhhh, am I rich?
Wow I just noticed many of my other Lincoln Cents are missing a D also. This is great.

Well, if she did actually pay a penny (regardless of its degree of prettiness), she got a good deal .

Threadjacking into seriousness, how much of the rarity and perceived value of the 1922 "No D" is due to the fact that no 1922 cents were produced in Philadelphia that year? I suspect that there are indeed real 1924 "No D" cents (as well as most other dates), but they just have no value because they are indistinguishable from regular 1924 cents.

If there was a 1922 cent production in Philadelphia, would the 1922 "No D" garner any attention whatsoever? I doubt it.
